Who Has the Best Barbecue in Atlanta?

Barbecue is a big deal in Atlanta, and there is a little something for everyone. You may prefer pork ribs, beef ribs, or pulled pork sandwiches. If you want to take a break from firing up your own grill, there are some great places that you can go for awesome barbecue in and around town.

Fox Brothers

Fox Brothers has been rated as the best barbecue in Atlanta by several publications. If you like the rich, smoky taste of Texas-style barbecue, you’ll love Fox Brothers. The founders are from Texas, but they choose to dub their style “Bar-B-Q Southern.” The meat is cooked fresh with hickory wood, and the restaurant offers pulled pork, beef brisket, smoked chicken, and baby back ribs. Slopes Barbecue

Another Atlanta favorite for southern barbecue. Try the ribs dripping in sauces with your favorite sides. Slopes also has barbecue chicken and pulled pork. For lunch, you can’t beat their barbeque pork sandwich. Slopes has several locations around Atlanta, including Roswell, Cumming, Sandy Springs, and Alpharetta.

Sam’s BBQ

Sam’s BBQ was once called Sam and Dave’s. Menu items include baby back ribs and smoked chicken or sausage by the pound. You can also find pulled pork and beef brisket by the pound. Just keep in mind that the food is cooked fresh, and if Sam’s runs out of meat, the restaurant closes for the posted hours. Find Sam’s at 4944 Lower Roswell Road in Marietta. Rolling Bones

Everyone knows that you must marinate the meat and let it rest. Rolling Bones prides itself on using “proper cooking techniques” for its succulent barbecue. If you want to indulge a little or a lot, head out to Rolling Bones for big healthy helpings of barbeque. In addition to the usual pork, chicken, and ribs, the restaurant also has sliced turkey. It’s located at 377 Edgewood Ave. in Atlanta, but you can also find the food at One Flew South in at the Hartsfield Jackson Airport (Concourse E). Call Rolling Bones at 404-222-2324.

DBA Barbecue

Located in Virginia Highlands, DBA has Southern-style barbeque, baby back ribs, smoked turkey, pulled pork, and get this… smoked tofu, too. The sides are made from scratch. You can have country sides like smoked baked beans, southern style potato salad, and collard greens, or city-folk sides like onion rings and grilled asparagus. DBA is located at 1190 N.
